Solar Flare Alert just put out their debut album, Disco Au Soleil, through Katekatashe Records, and it hits exactly where it needs to. It is an eight-track run that swings from 108 to 128 BPM, mixing upfront vocals, live instruments, and electronic elements into something that feels entirely alive.

If you want a quick entry point, head straight for the lead single, “Sott ‘e ‘Ngopp”. It runs on a heavy Moog Subharmonicon groove alongside Christian Palermo’s live percussion and Salvo Palermo’s bass. The track brings a massive wave of energy, channeling a specific style of horns reminiscent of James Brown mixed with the warmth of Curtis Mayfield.
