Dionysiac – “Echoes of Becoming”

Dionysiac is an artist from London who has released a new EP, “Echoes of Becoming”. It comes across as carefully thought-out rather than a random collection of songs. Each track connects to the next, giving the whole project a sense of direction.
The first track of the EP, “Where do I go from here?”, sets the tone with a heavy, reflective mood that deserves your attention. It’s not hopeless, more like someone trying to make sense of uncertainty. Then “Behind the window blinds” pushes that idea further, with a sense of realization that how you see the world shapes the way you move through it. There’s also a pause in the middle, an instrumental piece that acts like space to breathe. The closer, “Formless”, shifts into something celebratory and freeing, and that change makes the whole record feel like it’s moving toward lightness. Out of all of them, “Formless” is my favorite, it feels like the perfect release after the emotional build-up of the earlier tracks.
You can hear the effort that went into details. Friends like Polina Capuano, David Laudat, and Rupert Mann added layers that keep the songs alive without overdoing it. The EP was recorded at The Qube Studios in London, and the sequencing matters. You can tell there’s real intention in how the songs flow.
Dionysiac has upcoming intimate gigs in Athens and London, which sound like the perfect way to experience these songs live. Follow him on socials to stay updated on new releases in 2025.
