Eddie Cohn – “Get Back My Way”

Eddie Cohn released his new single “Get Back My Way”, based in Los Angeles, he has built a career as a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, and this release works as both a continuation of his past work and a fresh step forward. After spending part of the year exploring real estate, he returns with a track focused on slowing down, staying grounded, and keeping creativity at the center of daily life.
Eddie recorded much of the song himself, handling vocals, acoustic guitar, and other instruments in his home studio. To expand the sound, he brought in longtime collaborators: Brett Farkas on electric guitar, Dan Lutz on bass, Phil Peterson on cello, and Jake Reed on drums. Kevin Penner mixed and mastered the track from Hawaii. Even though each part was recorded in different places, the song comes together naturally and has a strong, unified sound.
The single takes influence from the grunge era of the ’90s along with artists like Eddie Vedder and Chris Cornell, while keeping an acoustic base that grows steadily into something larger. At its center, the track reflects gratitude, health, and the importance of creative expression even when life gets busy.
