Lodo – “The Process of Remembering”

Lodo is a four-piece band, formed in 2023 and their music makes you pay attention to every detail. Their debut album “The Process of Remembering” came together fast, but it doesn’t sound rushed. It feels like a band that clicked early on and followed the momentum. They move between mellow, drawn-out sections and loud, noisy builds, with flute parts that cut through the haze in a way that really works.
“Sunwater” is one of the early highlights, it’s got this tense groove that keeps shifting under your feet but never fully lets go. “Dreadnought” is impressive and they keep it locked in without smoothing it over. Then there’s “Lullaby”, which is on the quieter side but not sleepy, it kind of holds its breath the whole way through, which works really well after the chaos earlier.
I love how the band sounds like they’re figuring out their own sound as they go, and that’s a good thing. It’s not overproduced, and the rough edges give it more personality. They’re not trying to prove anything or fit into a box. It sounds like they’re just following where the songs naturally go.
