Desperate Electric – “Wildfire”

Desperate Electric released their new single, “Wildfire”, and it’s one of those tracks that sticks with you. The Montana duo, made up of Ben Morris and Kayti Korte, has been on a steady rise, and this release keeps that momentum going in a big way.

“Wildfire” brings their usual mix of retro grooves and modern soul-pop, but it’s dialed in tighter than ever. The vocals come across honest and raw, especially against the slick synth work and dance-ready rhythm underneath, and Kayti’s harmonies add that extra layer of shine that makes the track pop without trying too hard.
