DayEyez – “Grave”

DayEyez is back with a new single called “Grave”, and if you’ve been following the project, this one definitely hits a little harder. It’s the last release before the debut album “Mid Love Crisis” drops in October, and you can tell it’s meant to leave a mark.

The track leans into a dark, aggressive alt-rock sound, and it works, there’s a heaviness to it, not just in the music but in the emotion behind it. According to Shaun (the mind behind DayEyez), “Grave” isn’t about heartbreak in the usual way, it’s more about taking responsibility, owning your part in the mess, and being honest about it. That comes across clearly. The line “So I let you down one more time / I never had much of a spine” is rough in a good way. Raw, honest, no sugarcoating.

It’s also a turning point. You can feel that this track sets up whatever’s coming next. DayEyez has been exploring deeper emotional territory with each release, and “Grave” feels like it’s digging all the way down. If you’re into moody alt-rock with real emotional meaning, check it out. And definitely keep an eye on DayEyez on socials. There’s more coming in 2025, and it sounds like it’s going to be big.
