LACES – “WORK”

LACES’ new EP “WORK” is wonderful. Jessica Vaughn isn’t just venting about burnout; she’s weaponizing it. Each track feels like it was born in the middle of a real-life hustle spiral, but instead of crumbling under the pressure, she flips it into something fierce and memorable.
There’s a sharp mix of defiance and vulnerability throughout the project. LACES is a talented artist, and there’s humor, rebellion, and an undercurrent of freedom that keeps the whole thing alive. You can feel the experience behind every song, and there’s no playing it safe here. Her vocals are gritty and honest, never overdone, always cutting straight to the point. Tracks like “Open for Business” and “Hard Work” are my favorites.
The artwork for the EP captures the whole vibe: raw, grounded, and a little offbeat, the half-lemon in her hands is weird in the best way, like a nod to squeezing something real out of the sour parts of life. Follow LACES on Instagram and the rest to keep up with what she’s got coming for the rest of 2025.
