BRIEL the Artist’s debut mixtape “DAMN GENESIS” it;s impressive and easy to follow, it’s bold without being overdone, and deeply personal without turning into a therapy session for the listener. BRIEL is clearly not out here playing nice or trying to impress anyone, this is about shedding layers, snapping the mold, and stepping into something real.

The genre blend feels lived-in; nothing sounds forced or like it’s chasing trends. It’s Alternative R\&B, Hip-Hop, and Indie in the way that reflects someone raised by the internet but grounded in a very specific New York experience. That said, it’s the clarity of the intention behind the mixtape that stands out. This is BRIEL cracking the mirror and not bothering to pick up the shards, just moving forward without the old reflection.

You hear that same confidence in the vocals, raw, unapologetic, and emotionally locked in. No overproduction, no hiding, just presence. The single “LADIES SONG” set the tone, but my favorite is “THE BLINDS”.
