Claudia Tomàs – “Yearnings of modern life”

Claudia Tomàs’ EP “Yearnings of modern life” is just beautiful. It’s clear from the first track that Claudia wants a connection between her and the listeners. There’s something really unpretentious about the way these songs move, the way they breathe.
The songs roll through late-night thoughts and quiet affirmations, like someone narrating a dream you didn’t know you had. Claudia has this way of zooming in on tiny, everyday feelings, the ones most people shrug off, and making them feel big. Not dramatic, just… important. “Modern life” in this case doesn’t mean chaos or noise. It means tiny wins, uncertainty, nostalgia, and the funny way you can miss someone before they’ve even left. “Gonna take a break” is one of the standout tracks of the EP and it will stick in your head for days, but to be honest, “Landscapes” is my favorite.
The real strength here is how lived-in it all feels. You can tell these songs were written with friends, not producers in suits. There’s a warmth in the collaboration that doesn’t feel curated. The drums, the subtle electronics, even the occasional glitchy edge, it all feels like it was shaped by hand, not pieced together on a laptop at 3AM. Claudia’s voice floats through it all, steady and sincere. She doesn’t push. She just lets the songs do their thing.
